Getting into the world of medicinal cannabis and cannabidiol products (Also commonly referred to as CBD products) can be somewhat confusing. Some people don’t actually know the difference between both, and even though they are pretty similar, there are some big differences between the two that might turn one of the options a better choice for some specific people.

There’s also the fact that you can find a lot of products regarding them, each one capable of achieving great results in different ways. When it comes to CBD, you can also find CBD isolate and full-spectrum, with huge differences between the two.

This can complicate things for those wanting to start selling products and create their very own CBD business. That is why, in this article, we will cover essential aspects of cannabidiol products wholesales, so you get to understand some of the things you should have in mind when choosing products for your adventure.

Why People Rely on Medicinal Cannabis

CBD Wholesale Guide — Getting to Know Isolate and Full-Spectrum

The first thing you need to understand is that medicinal cannabis and CBD products are capable of achieving pretty much the same results. Back in the day, even during ancient cultures the Chinese, Greek, and Egyptian culture, cannabis was used as a form of analgesic.

The science is simple: it was combined along with drinks and beverages like tea or wine, dried then smoked, or combined with oils. It was used to reduce anxiety, stress, and fight inflammation and pain when people were sick or injured.

Nowadays, although medicinal cannabis and its derivations have been legalized in several places all around the world, it still has some stigmas. Thankfully, a lot of people are being open-minded about it and using it because it is capable of providing some relief for people with certain physical and mental conditions, including sleeping disorders and inflammatory diseases.

    Medicinal Cannabis vs Cannabidiol Medication

Now, here’s where things get a little complicated. Even though medicinal cannabis has several compounds known as cannabinoids, two main cannabinoids stand from the others: THC and CBD. THC stands for tetrahydrocannabinol while CBD stands for cannabidiol.

These two compounds are the ones granting the health benefits the plant provides, but THC is known as a psychotropic compound…  Simply put, it gets everyone who consumes it, high.

CBD is non-psychotropic, though, so although it grants the same benefits as THC, it doesn’t get people high at all. Right now we can find a lot of different types of the cannabis plant, but they enter three specific categories:

    • Indica, which are known for their relaxing and alleviating effects
    • Sativa, known for being invigorating and boosting creativity
    • Hybrids, a combination of the two with higher levels of either THC and CBD.

There’s a specific type of Indica cannabis plant that is known as the hemp plant, though, and as shown at https://www.besthealthmag.ca/article/what-is-hemp/, it has minimum levels of THC and higher levels of CBD.  This is why this specific derivation of the Indica cannabis plant is the one used to create CBD-based products, which are commonly known as hemp products as well.

    Isolates and Full-Spectrum

Now, there are three categories inside of cannabidiol-based products, one is isolates while the other two are full-spectrum and broad-spectrum products. Although they are very similar, they have some important distinctions.

To put it simply, isolates are the concentrated version of the product. They are probably the purest form of CBD oil extracted from the hemp plant, and they are frequently found in their crystallized form, either in the form of powder or shatter.

Full-spectrum, on the other hand, are products derived from the oil extracted from the hemp plant combined with other compounds, like terpenes (which are aromatic compounds founds in a lot of plants), and other cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant.

If you are curious, here are more details about it. Ideally speaking, they are all capable of providing great results, but isolates tend to be much stronger, so for some people, they might be better choices overall.

Broad-spectrum is similar to the full-spectrum, but without the THC compound.

    Choosing the Right Product

Still, if you are interested in wholesale deals, you have to be careful. If you want to choose products for yourself, choosing products that suit your condition or circumstances should be your top priority.

This is because you want to make sure that you are getting something that works for you. I would actually recommend trying a specific product before going for a wholesale deal if this is the case for you.

However, if you want to get products to be sold at your store, you should definitely be more careful. Full-spectrum medication tends to be much more popular than isolates, just because isolates are a little bit more complicated to be consumed since they need specific tools to be used.

There’s also the fact that isolates being crystals or powders, might not look as good for the general customer. Full-spectrum might include things like tinctures, oils, cookies, gummies, vaping oils, and even cannabidiol-based strains, which are much more common, thus, more appealing for the general population.

For that reason, try to give it some thought. If you want to be a specialized store, isolates are fairly ok, however, if you want to be reached out by more people, you might want to go for the other option. You can also start with a combination of two products and a small investment, then choose based on the results of those sales.
